Hard Quark-quark Scattering with Exclusive Reactions
We present data from ir~p •*• elastic and p~p final states for scattering at 90° center of mass, -t = 9 GeV/c. A large p~p signal is seen and the p" are strongly polarized. This polarization tests a QCD prediction that quarks cannot flip helicity. The test fails dramatically. Exclusive two-body to two-body scattering at large momentum transfer represents a new laboratory for the study of hard s...

متن کاملThree-body Confinement Forces in a Realistic Constituent Quark Model
We implement a three-body confinement force, introduced on an algebraic basis, into a semirelativistic version of the Goldstone-boson-exchange constituent quark model. By solving the Faddeev equations we show that this interaction can increase the gap between singlet and colour states, such as the latter can be ignored. We present results for a ∆and a Y-shape threebody interaction in terms of t...

We implement a three-body confinement force, introduced on an algebraic basis, into a semirelativistic version of the Goldstone-boson-exchange constituent quark model. By solving the Faddeev equations we show that this interaction can increase the gap between singlet and colour states, such as the latter can be ignored and the known baryons can be described as q3 systems. We analyze the effect ...
متن کاملStability Analysis of a Model for Foreign Body Fibrotic Reactions
Implanted medical devices often trigger immunological and inflammatory reactions from surrounding tissues. The foreign body-mediated tissue responses may result in varying degrees of fibrotic tissue formation. There is an intensive research interest in the area of wound healing modeling, and quantitative methods are proposed to systematically study the behavior of this complex system of multipl...
